Dr. Edward J. Brantmeier

Dr. Edward J. Brantmeier is an assistant professor in the School of Education at Colorado State University. He currently acts as co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Program in Peace and Reconciliation Studies at CSU. He research interests include: multicultural education, peace education, and critical social theory—all in the context of teacher education. He teaches multicultural education and foundations courses at that undergraduate and graduate level. He has written or co-authored articles in the following selected journals: Theory and Research in Social Education; Journal of American Indian Education; Journal of Peace Education; and the Journal of Stellar Peacemaking. His co-edited book, Transforming Education for Peace, is in production with Information Age Publishing. He also serves as a co-editor for a book series on peace education with Information Age Publishing. In a collaborative effort with scholars, educators, and community members, he is currently co-writing a book entitled 147 Tips for Teaching Peace and Reconciliation that will be published with Atwood Publishing.
