Udo Okpide is the musical director of “OYOYO,” an authentic African drumming and dancing group. Their style of music reflects the original African traditional and melodious rhythms. The word “oyoyo” is a catchy phrase used in Nigeria to describe something “authentic, elegant and fantastic.“ Born in Nigeria, Udo has been teaching drumming and dance in Colorado for 14 years. He is a teacher, artist, author and musician.
